Going live: what changes and what to check first

July 13, 2026

Going live is the moment your event stops being a rehearsal and starts accepting real guests.

Before you can go live

  • Confirm your email. Organizer accounts need a verified email before taking an event live — check your inbox for the confirmation link (you can resend it from the banner in the app).
  • Review your event on the Overview page — it shows a readiness checklist with anything still missing.
  • What happens when you go live

  • The event date locks. Live events keep their date so guest links, retention windows, and reminders stay consistent.
  • You choose your plan. Go live on Basic (free), or go live with Premium ($39, one-time) to unlock photos, the guest book, and the live wall.
  • Test data is kept or wiped — your choice.
  • Your QR code and guest link now serve the real experience.
  • Going live on Basic

Any Premium features you toggled on during testing switch off, and the event runs with check-in and table lookup. You can upgrade to Premium later — even during the event — and features unlock immediately.

Going live on an agency plan

If your account has an active agency plan, going live with Premium consumes one of your monthly event slots instead of a $39 charge. Drafts and basic events never consume slots.

    After the event

Events wrap automatically after the event window passes. Uploads stay open for 10 days after the event date, then the event completes and its configuration locks — everything guests shared stays safely in Uploads and the Guest Book.
