What you need, and when
Day one is a question. Month four is a queue.
A startup does not need a support department. It needs somewhere for questions to land on day one, and a desk that still works when the third app ships.
Day one
Someone has a question.
- A support page and a widget, so questions have somewhere to go
- Tickets with a reply composer, canned responses and a customer record
- Welcome and password-reset emails from your own address
- A handful of help articles for the obvious questions
Month four
Three apps, and you are the support team.
- One overview across every app, with what is waiting on you
- Replies drafted from your docs, sent when you approve them
- Errors grouped into issues, alerting before customers write in
- Teammates with access to the apps they work on, at no per-seat cost
In the box
Six tools a small team would bolt together. One desk.
A real helpdesk, not a shared inbox
Statuses, priorities, assignees, tags, internal notes, saved views and bulk actions. Customers get email replies and a portal link to their ticket.
A customer directory that fills itself
Every ticket and feedback reply adds or updates the customer. Add your own user id and tags (plan:pro, vip) from your app to see who is writing in.
Transactional email included
Templates, layouts and an email log on your own provider. 1,000 sends a month on Free.
A help centre per app
Markdown articles on a hosted, searchable help centre, and a widget that shows them before a ticket is filed.
Error logs next to the tickets
Ship errors from your app with one call. They are grouped into issues, so you see what broke before the tickets about it arrive.
AI that drafts, people who send
On paid plans the Auto-Responder drafts replies from your knowledge base and waits for your approval. No per-resolution fees.
Customers
Know who is writing in before you reply.
Every customer has a record: their tickets, their feedback, your notes, and the id and tags your app gave them. It builds itself from every conversation.
external id · tags · internal note · history

Knowledge base
Answer it once, link it forever.
Write an article when the same question arrives twice. It goes on the app’s help centre, and replies can cite it.

FAQ
Helmdesk for a small team
What does the free plan include?
One app, 100 tickets a month, 2 seats, 1,000 email sends and 5 knowledge-base articles, with the API, SDK, MCP server and widget. No card. AI drafting and the agents start on Starter.
What happens when I go past the free limits?
On Free, new tickets pause at 100 for the month and other limits prompt an upgrade. Nothing is deleted. On paid plans, tickets past the allowance keep flowing and are billed per ticket, up to three times the allowance.
How long does setup take?
Create a project, add the widget tag to your site, and point your app’s emails at a template. Or give your coding agent one instruction and it does the same through the MCP server.
Do I pay for each teammate?
No. Starter ($39/mo, 3 apps, 1,000 tickets) and Growth ($149/mo, 10 apps, 7,500 tickets) have unlimited seats. Annual billing saves 20%.
Ship the app. Keep the support small.
